Images of the Jinggang Shan (999 /井冈山) Type 071 Yuzhao class amphibious transport dock (LPD) has been commissioned and it has jointed the South China Sea Fleet of the Chinese People's Republic of China's People's Liberation Army Navy.


Type 071 YUZHAO Class Amphibious Transport Dock (LPD) can carry upto four air-cushioned landing crafts and two landing craft on port/starboard davits. It can also carry around 15 armored vehicles along with 800 PLA soldiers.

Type 071 Yuzhao class amphibious transport dock (LPD) can carry both Z-8 Super Frelon and Z-9 Haitun helicopters.

For selfdefence and landing support Type 071 Yuzhao class amphibious transport dock (LPD) is outfitted with a AK-176 76 mm (3.0 in) gun and it also carries four AK-630 30 mm close-in weapon system (CIWS).
