Chinese Y-8W / KJ-200 Balanced Beam AEW&C

The Chinese Y-8W / KJ-200 Balanced Beam AEW&C which is outfitted with a dual-sided Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) array. This arrangement offers target detection capability in 150° on both sides aircraft.

 The Y-8W / KJ-200 Balanced Beam AEW&C has an endurance of over 10 hours without aerial refueling. Both People's Liberation Army Air Force and People's Liberation Army Navy has ordered Y-8W / KJ-200 Balanced Beam AEW&C to meet the requirements of low cost airborne early warning and control system.
