Type 052D Class Guided Missile Destroyer 172 and 173 under development for the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) almost ready. Type 052D Class Guided Missile Destroyer is outfitted with new 130mm main gun and imroved Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar system. Its 64 cell vertical launching system (VLS) can carry improved HHQ-9 surface to air missiles and antiship missiles.
