At International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, Zhuhai Airshow 2012, Russian engine manufacturer NOP Saturn has displayed its front line product 117S (AL-41F1) 5th generation engine which powers Su-35.
NOP Saturn 117S (AL-41F1) turbofan engine offers Thrust Vectoring Control (TVC) nozzle along with maximum thrust of 14.5 tons in the afterburner mode and dry thrust of 8.8 tons.
Russia has already sold hundreds of AL-31 series of turbofan engines to the Chinese aircraft manufacturer for J-11 and J-10 fighter jets of the Peoples Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).

The Su-35 uses the Saturn 117S engine. The PAK FA uses the Saturn 117 (without "S"). So, the Saturn 117S and 117 are different engines.
