Chinese Liaoning CV16 (Ex-Varyag) aircraft carrier has returned to the Dalian shipyard after completing its the third sea trial which lasted nine days.

The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense has recently issued a statement to put an end to the confusion surrounding Ex-Varyag aircraft carrier’s arresting gear.

Beautiful ship. The Chinese Navy should be proud. The nay sayers all said that China could not put a carrier in operation yet there she sails. These same nay sayers now say they can not operate a Carrier Air Wing. Bull crap. I say within a year we will see Jet Fighters on her deck.

Very good reasons for Japan and Korea to buy the VSTOL capable F35 B stealth attack jet that could fly from their Helicopter carriers.
