The Shenyang J-15 Flying Shark is a Chinese development of their J-11B fighter jet for deployment on the Chinese Liaoning CV16 (ex-Varyag) aircraft carrier. The J-15 Flying Shark uses has folding wings, shortened tail to maximise the number of aircraft which can be carried by the aircraft carrier.
Reinforced structure and undercarriage will allow J-15 to takeoff and land from an aircraft carrier. The J-15 will use all Chinese developed avionics, (AESA?) radar, composite materials. It will be armed with PL-12 Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM), PL-8 WVRAAM, YJ-83 (C-803) Anti-ship missile and a large viraty of Chinese precision guided missiles (PGM).
