Next Generation Type 055 Class Guided Missile Destroyers are being developed for the Peoples Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy). The Type 055 will be able to carry new generation of Chinese multi-module active phased array radar, electronics to support self-defense, anti-air warfare (AAW) and anti-ship/land-attack missions. The Type 055 is estimated to displace around 10,000 tons.

New Type 052D Class Guided Missile Destroyer Almost Ready For Launch
New 7,500-tonne Type 052D Luyang III Class Guided Missile Destroyer outfitted with improved Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar is almost ready for Launch. The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) has already commissioned first ships of this new class of Guided Missile Destroyer carrying improved sensors as well as weapon systems.

Type 054A Jiangkai II Class Equipped With H/PJ-14 Type 1130 Close in Weapon System (CIWS)
Recent pictures have emmerged on the Chinese internet showing the Type 054A Jiangkai II class guided missile frigate carrying new H/PJ-14 Type 1130 Close in Weapon System (CIWS) replacing Type 730 (H/PJ12).
The H/PJ-14 Type 1130 Close in Weapon System (CIWS) was first employed on Chinese Aircraft Carrier Liaoning. Like Type 730 (H/PJ12), H/PJ-14 Type 1130 is mounted in an enclosed turret and it is directed by radar, and electro-optical tracking systems.
The H/PJ-14 Type 1130 is 30 mm caliber and has a total 11 barrels with much higher rate of fire.

Chinese Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Helicopter
Changhe Aircraft Industry Group (CAIG) has developed Chinese Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Helicopter for People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Helicopter is based on Z-18 transport helicopter which was designed to replace production line of old Z-8/French SA-321 Super Frelon.
Chinese Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Helicopter is equipped with arge surface search radar under its nose for 360 degree coverage. It also carries FLIR/TV turret was relocated to the starboard side.
Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Helicopter will also carry sonobuoys and 324mm torpedos. Z-18 transport helicopter is military version of AC313 design which featured new redesigned lower fuselage and improved engines.
Armed to the Teeth: Chinese Z-19 Light Attack / Reconnaissance Helicopter
Chinese Z-19 Light attack / reconnaissance helicopter has once again been spotted carrying its full load of anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) and rockets pods. In this new image Z-19 is carrying eight anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) and two 7-Tube 70 mm (2.75”) rocket pods.
In another configuration Z-19 Light attack / reconnaissance helicopter carrying 8x ATGMs and 8x TY-90? light air-to-air missiles.

China Launches Algerian Navy C28A Frigate
Two images of the Algerian Navy C28A Frigate launched by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) on August 16 2014. Under a deal signed by two countries, China will construction three C82A light frigates for Algerian Navy
C82A light frigates will be armed with 76mm main gun for surface attack role, eight C802A anti-ship missiles for maritime strike role and FM90N launcher (with 8x surface to air missiles)- 2x Type 730 close-in weapon system (CIWS) for self defense purposes.
