Improved J-31 FC-31 Gyrfalcon Fifth Gen Stealth Fighter Aircraft Makes Debut

Improved prototype of FC-31 'Gyrfalcon' 5th generation fighter jet has made its first flight. This 2.0 version has been developed from J-31 / FC-31 fighter prototype which first flew on 31 October 2012. Improved version features improvements to make fighter jet more stealth, new sweptback horizontal stabilizers and it is also outfitted with electro-optical targeting system (EOTS).

The FC-31 fighter jet is 17.3 m long with its max takeoff weight of 28 tonnes. The FC-31 can carry upto beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles (BVRAAM) and Within Visual Range Air-to-Air Missiles (WVRAAM) internally. Additional weapons can be carried on external wing-mounted hardpoints.

Armed and Dangerous: Chinese Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Spotted With Torpedoes

Armed and Dangerous: Chinese Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) has been spotted with two Yu-7K lightweight torpedoes for the first time. The Z-18F Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) helicopter is new generation Anti-Submarine Warfare and Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW) helicopter developed by Changhe Aircraft Industry Group (CAIG) to meet requirement of ASW helicopter for Peoples Liberation Army Navy It will be capable of operating from destroyers and aircraft carriers to to track and destroy submarines. 

The Z-18F ASW helicopters are fitted with  large radar dome under its nose for 360 degrees search and tracking of maritime targets. Helicopter also is equipped with Loong EYE series electro-optic / infra-red sensor and dipping sonar.

The Z-18F Sea Eagle can also carry  YJ-9 anti-ship missiles for  anti-surface warfare (ASuW) role.
